I am proud to say that over the past months I have become a huge fan of Trinidad and Tobago's Miss Universe Contestant, La Toya Woods and she has become one of my favorite local style icons. It may come as a surprise to people close to me that I look up to many local and ordinary people when it comes to my fashion and style inspiration. Because my style is glam people tend to automatically believe that my style inspiration comes only from international Celebrities, but I actually prefer and I do look up to ordinary people around me because I think its more encouraging to see how people who are not wealthy or famous can look just as stunning as people who can afford the luxuries of shopping at High End Stores like Saks or Bergdorf Goodman.
Peter Elias, local Designer, who is the official Stylist to La Toya Woods, has been doing an excellent job in styling her and I think its awesome that most of the clothes and jewelry she wears can be found at his stores right here in Trinidad.
