Recreate the Look: Kourtney Kardashian

Hey dollz! I'm back again on the blogging scene after much requests. I will try to do as much blogging as I can in my spare time; please send me your requests or suggestions.

This "Recreate the Look" series will feature celebrity Makeup and Fashion Looks that you can try for much less. Most of the items featured can be purchased online plus now we in Trinidad and Tobago can shop online as well through any local Skybox!

The first Celebrity I'm featuring is Kourtney Kardashian. I saw this pic of her on the beach and I just loved it. She looks so "dashing" and gorgeous...of course when I get pregnant (a hundred years from now, lol) I will hope I look as stylish as her during my pregnancy.

The Kardashians share the same Stylist, Monica Rose, and she is the best; I love her taste in fashion.

I added a plus-size option as well for the average size ladies, notice I said "average" :]

Anyways, hope you enjoy and I think I came close enough in matching Kourt's swimwear....the point of the "Recreate the Look" is not only to steal the exact look but to get a look that is close to it or inspired by it. Enjoy!

Lady in Pink

I finally wore the pink leopard bangles that I showed you guys in my Bang Bang Jewelry Haul vid on YouTube! I really wanted to wear the bangles with a matching pink outfit so I decided to try my hand at sewing and make my own pink skirt. I hand sewed the skirt since I don't have a functional sewing machine. The first time I made it, it was too short so I decided to turn it into a long pencil like skirt. I'm really having fun sewing, it reminds me of my Junior Sec. days in Home Economics class...memories...memories. Anyways, I plan on doing a tutorial on sewing for you guys like FYI, so stay tuned, let me know what you think and PLEASE FOLLOW this blog :]



La Colors and La Girl Swatches Part 1

These are the swatches I promised you'll in my recent video. This post only consists of the swatches of the eye products, I still have to do the lip products so that's going to be Part 2, so stay tuned.

I'm quite happy with the products in these swatches, they were all a good buy!

L.A. Colors Eyeshadow Palette $12:



Very bright and pigmented, they remind me of my 88 Coastal Scents Palette. These eyeshadows apply much better when an eyeshadow primer is used first otherwise you won't get much, if any, color at all on the lid. They apply good wet as well. I recommend a dense eyeshadow brush to apply them because it will pick up more product.

Swatches Applied without a primer:

If you try to apply the colors on your lid without a base it doesn't go on a all!

Applied with a (LA Girl) primer:

The colors are very vibrant when applied over a base, this palette is perfect for anyone on a tight budget :]



Swatches of the LA Girl Primer $25:

This primer is very creamy and works very good with bright colourful eyeshadows...wearability is very good as well...I will say its a okay buy for the price.
